Kambi Group Pushes into North Dakota

Kambi Group plc has announced a new multi-year agreement with the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation to power on-site wagering at 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in North Dakota. This deal marks Kambi’s expansion into the US market, bringing its sports betting technology to the state.

Partnership Details

The partnership will see Kambi replace the casino’s current third-party supplier, running the retail sportsbook using its own platform. The setup will include self-service kiosks, staffed over-the-counter betting terminals, and ‘Bring Your Own Device’ functionality, allowing customers to place wagers on their phones while inside the casino.

Expansion across the US

With this agreement, Kambi now has a presence in 27 US states, further expanding its reach across regulated North American markets. The company’s CEO, Werner Becher, expressed pride in partnering with the MHA Nation and 4 Bears Casino and Lodge to bring world-class sports betting experiences to North Dakota.

Future Growth

The contract also leaves the door open for additional growth, with the possibility of on-premise mobile wagering and even statewide mobile betting in the future, subject to regulatory approval. Kambi’s broader push into tribal and international markets is a key part of its strategy, with recent agreements with the Oneida Indian Nation and Glitnor Group.

North Dakota’s Sports Betting Landscape

In North Dakota, sports betting remains limited to tribal casinos, with statewide online wagering not yet authorized. However, with Kambi’s technology platform and experience in tribal gaming, the MHA Nation is well-positioned to elevate its entertainment offering across the state.
