Stroke Survivors Regain Freedom with New At-Home Tech

A new ‘at-home’ device is being trialled to help stroke survivors regain hand and arm movement. The Triceps trial, led by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, aims to recruit 270 people and is the largest trial of brain stimulation and stroke ever conducted. Participants use a small electrical device that stimulates the vagus nerve while carrying out rehabilitation exercises, with one participant saying it’s ‘given me my freedom back’.
