The Final Confrontation
The Boys Season 5 trailer is out, and it’s setting up a bloody final season. Homelander, played by Antony Starr, is seeking the original V compound to become immortal, while Karl Urban’s Butcher wants to commit Supe-genocide with a virus that will kill all Supes.
Meanwhile, the rest of The Boys are in trouble after the Season 4 finale. They thwarted the assassination of the US President, but new Vought CEO Sister Sage overthrew the election and installed Senator Steve Calhoun as president. Butcher and Annie escaped, but the rest were rounded up and placed in re-education camps.
The Final Season
Season 5 picks up where the Gen V finale left off. Annie is recruiting members to join the fight against Homelander and the Supes. The official premise states that it’s Homelander’s world, and everyone is subject to his whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned, while Annie struggles to mount a resistance.
Butcher reappears with a plan to use a virus to wipe out all Supes, setting in motion a chain of events that will change the world forever. The main cast is returning, and we’ll also see the return of Soldier Boy and new cast members from Gen V.
